Lloyd, originally from Jamaica, moved to the Capital Region over 30 years ago and is the owner of Busy Day Mailbox and Business Center. The business is a staple for locals, offering essential services like fingerprinting, copies, faxes, and everything else small and large businesses need for their “busy day.”

I’m a frequent customer, drawn by the fantastic customer service, as Lloyd is always happy and upbeat, bringing wonderful Jamaican hospitality to his work. However, I distinctly remember the worry on his face the day after Hurricane Melissa hit Jamaica. He was deeply concerned about the well-being of his friends, family, and the home he left behind, talking about the recovery businesses in Jamaica would face and wishing he could do more to help. Despite his worry, he continued to make his customers smile that day, though they were unaware of his ongoing concern for Jamaica’s recovery efforts.
