Our Pillars

The African American & Jamaican Black Chambers of Commerce provide committed, visionary leadership and advocacy in the realization of economic empowerment. Through the creation of resources and initiatives, we support African American & Jamaican Chambers of Commerce and business organizations in their work of developing and growing Black enterprises.

We offer tailored events, workshops, and resources that empower members to elevate their businesses while enhancing their overall well-being. Through our unique approach, we cultivate lasting connections and a spirit of collective success among today’s most ambitious leaders.

Advocacy

Advocacy-We actively advocate for legislation that fosters small business growth, with a specific focus on policies that address the unique challenges faced by Black Americans and Jamaican business owners. Our advocacy maintains a crucial bipartisan stance, allowing us to collaborate with policymakers across the political spectrum to champion policies that best serve the interests of our communities.

Access to Capital

Limited access to capital remains the most significant barrier to expansion and growth for Black American and Jamaican-owned businesses. To address this challenge, we partner with financial institutions—with a particular focus on Black-owned institutions—to establish pathways that provide Black and Jamaican-owned businesses with greater access to credit, capital, and other essential financial instruments.

Impactful Resources

The organization's "Impactful Resources" program aims to create a more equitable business environment by connecting members with contract opportunities in the private and public sectors. The strategy involves informing members about contracts, increasing their capacity to compete, providing tailored resources, and connecting them with investors. The program offers access to a network of experts in various fields (e.g., marketing, IT, finance) and assigns a personalized mentor to every new member for the first 90 days.

Innovative Training & Professional Development

Our innovative training and professional development programs are designed to give Black-owned and Jamaican-owned businesses a competitive edge. These programs provide essential skills, up-to-date knowledge, and strategic thinking to drive growth, foster leadership, and improve operational efficiency. By offering expert guidance and access to new technologies, we help businesses overcome challenges, enhance their competitiveness, and adapt to market changes. We unlock opportunities for expansion, resilience, and long-term success through online trainings, local and global conferences, and highly discounted degree programs.
