About Course
Program Description
The Certified Child and Adolescent Trauma Professional (CCATP) program is an advanced clinical training designed to equip mental health and allied professionals with the skills, theoretical knowledge, and practical techniques necessary to effectively assess, treat, and support children and adolescents who have been impacted by trauma.
This certification integrates evidence-based trauma modalities—including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), EMDR-informed approaches, somatic interventions, and attachment-based strategies—to enhance trauma competency and improve treatment outcomes.
Participants will explore developmental trauma, neurobiology of trauma in youth, cultural considerations, complex trauma presentation, and best practices for family involvement. The course emphasizes ethical and culturally responsive care, clinical application, and integration into multidisciplinary settings.
