About Course
Program Description
The Certified Sex Offender Treatment Professional (CSOTP) credential is an advanced training and certification program designed for licensed mental health and allied professionals who provide clinical services to individuals who have committed sexual offenses or are at risk of offending. The program equips clinicians with the specialized knowledge, assessment tools, treatment frameworks, and ethical competencies needed to effectively manage, rehabilitate, and prevent recidivism among sexual offenders in various treatment and correctional settings.
Participants will gain expertise in evidence-based intervention strategies, risk assessment instruments (e.g., STATIC-99R, STABLE-2007), psychosexual evaluation techniques, relapse prevention planning, trauma-informed approaches, and legal/ethical considerations surrounding confidentiality, mandated reporting, and community safety.
