Mission
Our Mission
The African American and Jamaican Chamber of Commerce (AAJCC) stands as a vital institution committed to the profound mission of fostering comprehensive economic empowerment for its diverse membership and the communities it serves. This dedication is realized through a strategic, multifaceted approach centered on three core pillars: visionary leadership, impactful advocacy, and the systematic creation of targeted resources and initiatives.
Our visionary leadership involves setting a clear, forward-looking agenda that identifies and capitalizes on emerging economic opportunities, while also proactively addressing systemic barriers to growth. This includes developing strategic partnerships with government entities, private corporations, and other non-profit organizations to create a cohesive ecosystem of support. We believe that empowering our members begins with providing a clear roadmap for success in an ever-evolving global marketplace.
Furthermore, the AAJCC engages in impactful advocacy at local, state, and national levels. This advocacy is focused on influencing policy decisions that promote equitable access to capital, contracts, and business development opportunities for minority-owned enterprises. We serve as a powerful, unified voice, championing legislative and regulatory changes that dismantle institutional obstacles and level the economic playing field for African American and Jamaican entrepreneurs and professionals.

Our Goal
Our goal is to ensure success by creating and delivering targeted resources and initiatives. These programs are designed to meet the specific needs of our community, including business mentorship programs, financial literacy workshops, access to networking events, and training in areas such as technology adoption and global market entry. These tools are designed not merely to sustain businesses, but to ensure they thrive, scale, and become durable engines of job creation and wealth generation.
Ultimately, the Chamber’s unwavering goal is to ensure that every individual within our community has a tangible and equitable opportunity to build a better and more prosperous future for themselves and their families, thereby contributing to the overall economic strength and vitality of the broader society.
