Program Description
The Certified Dementia Care Specialist (CDCS) program equips healthcare professionals, caregivers, and allied service providers with the advanced knowledge and practical skills required to provide compassionate, evidence-based, and person-centered care to individuals living with dementia. Participants will explore the pathophysiology of dementia, behavioral and psychological symptoms, therapeutic communication, and best practices for care planning across disease stages.
Through case-based learning, applied strategies, and clinical tools, the program fosters interdisciplinary competence in improving quality of life, safety, and dignity for persons with dementia and their families.
