Program Description
The Certified Child & Adolescent Grief Counseling Specialist (CCAGCS) certification program is designed to prepare clinicians, counselors, educators, and healthcare professionals to provide compassionate, evidence-based support to children and adolescents experiencing grief and loss. This specialized training explores developmental considerations, trauma-informed care, family systems, and culturally responsive approaches to helping young clients process grief across diverse settings. Participants will gain the skills to assess, intervene, and facilitate healing in individual, group, and family contexts.
Upon completion, participants will demonstrate a professional competency in grief counseling practices tailored to the developmental, emotional, and psychosocial needs of children and teens.
